Godbit Is A Blast

March 13th, 2007

I had a really great time last night at the Godbit dinner. We had 30 people there – what a great turnout! Thanks to everyone who came!

TGI Friday’s is a good location for this sort of thing. It was a bit crowded at the table, but the location can’t be beat. We even got to watch the bats at the Congress Avenue Bridge.

I hope this doesn’t sound too sappy, but I feel really privileged to be in association with you guys and gals. The Godbit crew is a fantastic group of professionals and just plain good people.

Happy to hear you all had fun. Looking forward to seeing any pictures taken of the group. Hope to make it one year.

Thanks a bunch for facilitating, Ryan. It was worth the trip to Austin! We’ll have to do it again next year—maybe incorporating a musical chairs format or something.

    – please post more!

@Sean – yeah it was hard to have a chance to get to talk to everybody, wasn’t it? I like the musical chairs idea! If we have that many people again next year we’ll have to do something different. Thirty is a lot of people to have around a table.

This was definitely a highlight of SXSW for me. Let me know what I can do to help with it for next year.

I’m really bummed I missed out on the dinner this year! Last year’s was fun and I’m stoked to hear there were so many more folks at this year’s. Well, I’ll be there in ‘08!

Ryan, thanks so much for organizing the Godbit dinner. It was great to meet so many like-minded people from such different walks of life. My wife and I both enjoyed our time with all the Godbitters. It’s amazing how quickly everyone can be fast friends—sort of like we’re family or something… :D Thanks, again.
